If you are at least 65 years of age and live in your own home, you can apply annually at the district office for an exemption from the tax. Seniors must renew their exemption each year by signing an annual renewal letter that the district sends out automatically. The renewal letter can be mailed or returned in person to the Los Altos School District Office. The current procedure will not change under the proposed new Measure A and all current exemptions will continue automatically. For more information on senior exemptions contact the district office at 650-941-4010.

You can vote YES on Measure A
whether you take an exemption or not.

Most importantly, whether you take the exemption or not, please vote YES on Measure A to ensure the children in our community continue to receive an outstanding education and to help protect our high property values.

For more information on senior exemptions contact the district office at 650-941-4010.
